Now WhatsApp is thinking to bring the voice and video call support to the web version, reported by WABetainfo, a community website.
The company has recently released the new 2.2043.7 WhatsApp web beta for testing where its clearly seen the clues of voice and video calls.

As due to pandemic, the work from home culture is growing and most of the corporates are collaborating with tech giants to incorporate the video calling feature for their organization requirements.
Where this is very crucial for WhatsApp too to introduce the feature for web version ASAP.
